Aysan joined the Dogus Group of Turkey as the Chief Risk Officer in January 2013 and has since been strengthening the risk culture and risk management activities within the Group. Dogus operates in a wide range of businesses: financial services, automotive, construction, media, tourism and services, real estate, energy and entertainment and continues to invest in new geographies and business lines.
Born and raised in Istanbul, Aysan has lived and worked overseas for over 15 years. Prior to joining Dogus, she was the CRO for Aviva’s Central and Eastern European markets (7 including Poland and Turkey). This is following her over 10 years of service at PwC US (Miami, Philadelphia) and PwC UK (London) firms as a Senior Manager in its assurance and advisory practices. Aysan’s expertise lies in the areas of governance, risk management and systems and process assurance and her interest lies in change for the better within various organizational and geographical cultures.
Aysan is the President of Enterprise Risk Management Association (KRYD) of Turkey since March 2013 where she is striving to raise the profile of risk management within the non-financial services sectors across Turkey. KRYD is a member association of FERMA. She holds a MS Finance degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta and a Business Administration degree from Istanbul University.
